Sri Lanka is a genuine year-round destination thanks to its two monsoon seasons, which affect opposite sides of the island at different times.
From December to April, the south and west coasts and the hill country enjoy their driest weather — ideal for classic itineraries ending in Galle or Mirissa. From May to September, the east coast around Trincomalee and Pasikudah comes into its own, while the Cultural Triangle remains pleasant throughout.
